eSports Dragon ESL Overview

Purposely built for competitive gamers and eSports professionals, the ESL eSports series of gaming PCs carry a number of significant traits that make them well suited for the tasks at hand. Where a pre-built or self-built gaming PC is commonly used by most for a number of multi-tasking activities outside of gaming – a gaming PC by name due to the inclusion of a stylish chassis, a powerful processor, and a dedicated graphics card – the ESL systems differ in a few respects. Where these systems are provided with the same balance of hardware performance as every other system from Dino PC, specific tuning and further time testing is taken as a means of eliminating any possible bottleneck during professional use.

Configured alongside Intel, ESL, Gigabyte, and Adata, each component is specifically chosen and tested, before being optimized with the rest of the system for a perfect balance of performance and power consumption. This helps with stability of the system while it’s in use, so that each component can remain at a suitable operating temperature during long sessions of gaming. This is where the chosen chassis becomes of the highest importance. For the eSports Dragon ESL the Corsair Carbide Air 240 was great for its terrific control of airflow – fitted with a number vents and a perfectly-optimized CPU cooler, in order to keep control of both noise and temperatures. This chassis also helps with transportation as it is compact and light.

With an Intel Core i5-7400 processor powering the system, the quad-core design of Intel’s Kaby Lake CPU features a locked clock speed of 3.5GHz. This locked speed means it can save power when needed without having to turbo boost to unnecessary speeds which wouldn’t provide any advantage for its intended games. This also means performance can remain entirely stable when being placed under load and the Intel stock cooler can perform at its best without having to increase its fan speed to unpleasant levels of noise. Along with an ADATA 128GB SSD and 8GB of Kingston HyperX DDR4 RAM, data transfer within the loading of assets and the streaming of gameplay will perform to the maximum potential – as stated before; eliminating bottlenecks.

This is further backed up by a Seagate BarraCuda 1TB HDD for installing a great number of games and game data installation files. Where the Gigabyte B250M Micro-ATX motherboard sits every component conveniently, the ultra durable circuitry and components work in combination with the Smart Fan 5 temperature sensors in order to ensure efficient delivery of power while maintaining a perfect balance between temperatures and performance. This is further improved with the Realtek GbE LAN port which features cFosSpeed Internet Accelerator Networking. This provides lightning quick responsiveness and low ping times which is highly important for competitive gameplay at LAN environments. Giving gamers all the performance they’ll need during the heat of battle, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) graphics card is the perfect choice.

Featuring Auto-Extreme technology with Super Alloy Power 2 components, this model of the GTX 1060 was specifically chosen for its outstanding level of manufacturing and reliability, which will most certainly deliver during extended sessions of gameplay. As the PCB features premium components, efficiency is greatly enhanced, power loss is reduced, and electrical interference is completely eliminated so that temperatures can decrease, and performance can rise. Along with ASUS’ unique fan-blade design implementation, gamers won’t have to worry about noise or airflow while they’re competing. All of this is powered by an AeroCool 500W 80+ Bronze power supply, so that power delivery is rock-solid and sturdy, so that all components can perform at their best.
